I was born and raised in Hunt County, in the large bustling city of Greenville, Texas. As a child, I was described as rambunctious, rowdy, and would never sit down. I grew up playing all available youth sports through the local YMCA, where my Dad was often my coach, and was a member of the Texas Boys Choir, Stars Select Soccer Team, and the Sox Select Baseball Team.
I graduated from Greenville High School, lettering in Soccer & Choir, as well as creating lifelong friends that I am still close with today. Post graduation I attended and graduated from Stephen F Austin State University, with a BA in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing with an emphasis on Publication Layout Design.
Shortly after moving to Fort Worth to begin my career, I reconnected with a close friend from college, who turned out to be the love-of-my-life and soulmate, Jennifer. We absolutely loved Fort Worth, we got engaged downtown, bought our first house, started our family of three boys, Duncan (5th), Oliver (3rd), and Harrison (Kinder), and had successful careers, Jennifer as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Cook Children's, and myself as a Financial Analyst at Lockheed Martin & Northrup Grumman.
But, sitting in church one Sunday, both Jennifer and I began to discuss what we wanted for our family, and both being from small towns, we decided in that moment that we would put it in God's hands to allow us to make that a reality. Soon thereafter, we were in the process of selling our house, saying goodbye to all the wonderful friends we had made, and heading east.
After a short COVID stopover in Caddo Mills, we landed exactly where we were supposed to be, here in Lone Oak.
All three of our boys are enrolled in the LOISD, two in elementary and one in middle school. They are active in UIL, Beta, and the local youth sports organization.
My wife works for the Quinlan ISD as a school based Occupational Therapist and I am a Community Banker at Commercial Bank of Texas (CBTx) in Emory.
The love and support we have experienced from the community, the wonderful teachers, staff, and administration we've had at LOES since our arrival, and the parents of the kids (and the kids) I've been lucky enough to coach have all made our transition here the absolute best!
