EXPERIENCE

Since moving to Lone Oak and being semi "tricked" by Travis Maiwelmal into running for the LOYSA Board, I have been blessed to have worked with and met so many wonderful people. My involvement with this board has been both rewarding and challenging, but working hand-in-hand with others has proven the effectiveness of teamwork and collective group goal attainment. 

Experience has been the best teacher in the following:

• The best executed plans appear to the majority of the public that they almost ran themselves. Team execution by it's contributors isn't and shouldn't be self serving or self congratulatory, but the ultimate goal of a smooth and seamless success.
• Simply being on a Board does not provide entitlement or importance, the job and work you do provides the importance and entitlement to the beneficiaries the Board services.
• Attitude is contagious, be it good or bad.
• Approachability, good listening, empathy, and clear communication can mitigate or help to mutually work towards a resolution.
• It is impossible to make everyone happy, but even the most ardent detractors, regardless of their personal agendas, must be treated with the same respect as everyone else.
• Nothing can ever be gained by social media arguments, it will always seem petty and never relay the complete story.
• The board services and caters to ALL athletes & parents, not just the most talented, affluent, difficult, or loudest.
